First & Most Important Step
I cannot emphasise enough the importance of putting you first when it comes to this program. Let me explain what I mean; I want you to get the very best of results, and so I want you to find yourself some time and space where you can focus your attention on progressing through this program. Use whatever method works best for your preferred learning style. Hopefully, you have a copy of the book that goes with this program. If you don’t have a copy, you may well find it worth getting one direct from me (that’s the cheapest way).
As a member, you can gain unlimited support and advice on any questions or challenges you may face in any aspect of your business. This is extended to this program, but you can set up your confidential room in the Groups section of the site rather than simply using the ‘Quick Advice’ service.
So your first task in this program is to set up your own private group with me to give you bespoke support as you progress through the 7C’s’ program. You can do this on the Rainmakers Platform; let me show you how:
Step 1
Open up a new window so that you can read these instructions and, at the same time, view the platform and easily switch between these instructions and the groups’ section of the Rainmakers Hub. Now navigate to the Groups section of the platform:
Step 2
Now you are on the Group page, click on the ‘Create a Group’ button indicated in this illustration:
Step 3
Now all you need to do is follow the on-screen instructions, although there are a few items you will need to consider, which I will cover now.
- Give your Group a suitable name.
- Write a brief description; this is more to help others understand that this feature is available to them when they view the main Groups page.
- Click the Create Group and Continue button to move to the next task.
Step 4
Next, you can create the settings that best match the purpose of the group you are creating. In this case, this is a private group for you to talk and share ideas with your 7C’s coach, and so you will want to create a Private Group so that only you and your mentor can see the content:
You can scroll down and review all the other settings that you have control of; just bear in mind this particular group is for you and your chosen 7C’s mentor, and to ensure candour, it should be kept small and exclusive. There are other 7C’s groups where you can have more open interactions with a wider audience:
Once you have made sure you are happy with all the settings, you can select the ‘Next Step’ button and move on with your group creation.
Step 5
Now you have the opportunity to give your Group the facility to create individual forums. This will allow you to run multiple strings of conversations on various subjects without getting lost. This helps to create a structure for the various subjects you may bed to cover with your mentor and perhaps other group members. You do this by simply ticking the box as indicated before moving on to the next step:
Step 6
This is your opportunity to make this group reflect your purpose or brand by selecting images for your group’s home page. You can upload by dragging and dropping in the area indicated, for you can select to scroll through a list of files on your device to upload the file. Once you are happy with your selection, you can move on to the next phase of the set up:
Step 7
Similar to the previous step, you now have the capability to also upload your preferred image for the cover picture. All you have to do is follow the instructions as before:
Step 8
The final step is to send me an invite by selecting my name from the list; the system will then send me an email with a link to your group, and we can start to take advantage of the 7C’s program and your development toward exceptional and sustainable results:
This is your Group
Finally, I wanted you to get a feel for what you will see and the variety of facilities within the Group you have just created. On the right of the image below, you can see that you are the organiser of the Group and also that this is a private Group. This means that only you and those you have invited can see and contribute to the content.
- This will show you the overall feed of posts and is a good way to get a snapshot of activity.
- Here you can upload and view photos uploaded to the group.
- This operates as the previous section but is for video clips.
- Images and videos can be placed onto specific albums here.
- Here you can view and upload documents you want to share or review.
- This is where you can invite other members to join the group should you wish to do so.
- This is where you can start the various discussions on related subjects.
- This is where you can manage your group and its settings.
The more you use this facility, the better the results you will achieve from this important development program.
