Why is building a relationship more important than making the sale?

Selling is vitally important, and we need to remember that the better your marketing, the less you will need to sell and so get your marketing right first. When marketing is done correctly, the relationship is well underway, or at least that should be the case!

When it comes to sales, if you focus on building the relationship first, you will do more than sell something. Generally, if you sell, you may move a product, but that will probably be all you do. Far better to work on building that relationship first. Don’t talk product all the time; talk about your why and how and then focus on them.

Make a sale and earn some commission, make a friend and earn a fortune…
