How can I increase my desire to learn?

The main reason most people fail to invest time in learning is down to their ego. So my message is, do not let your ego get in the way of your desire to improve through learning. The most successful leaders in business keep their minds open to new lessons because they know that no matter how good they are, there is always room to learn more and more things to discover to increase their mastery.

If you become an expert in one field, seek out other fields where you can transfer and apply your expertise. When facing challenges, even ones you have faced before, adopt a learner’s approach. Ask questions or find new ways to solve the problem. Never let your ego get in the way. Perhaps the next item on your agenda should be to develop your EQ to help control your ego and give you the headroom to invest in your development.
